Moving dock between screens mac8/22/2023 Fix 5: Change Dock's position on the Mac screenĪnother workaround you can try to fix the freezing Dock is to change its position on your Mac computer. If the problem persists, try to uninstall those apps and check Dock again. Once finished updating, force quit those apps on Mac if they were running behind the scene and see if Dock gets back to work. How To Move Dock To Another Screen Or Monitor In macOS A Quick & Easy Guide Full Speed Mac & PC 35.3K subscribers Join Subscribe 0 Share 1 view 1 minute ago How to quickly and easily. /rebates/&252fsid-meiers-railroads-mac-windowed-run. Use the keyboard: Command-Space to open Spotlight and type the first few letters and press enter. Works with any character encoding for the correct display of. Click the menu bar on the display you want. Browse and move your files quickly in the browser with caching enabled for the best performance. Click and hold the Dock icon and from Options choose None. Then click Updates from the left sidebar, and you'll see all the apps of the third-party or macOS that need updates. Make sure that the application is not set to open in a specific desktop. You can also press Tab to move from item to item on your screen. To check if you have outdated third-party apps on Mac, press the Command + Space keys and type in "App Store", when App Store shows up, double-click it to open it. To move around, press Ctrl + Alt + Up, Down, Left, or Right. However, I find that dock remains on the given display. I considered that, depending on which display was active, that toggling the dock would cause it to appear on whichever display was active at the time. Though macOS supports almost all types of third-party apps, if these apps are not updated to be compatible with your current macOS version, you might experience the Dock getting stuck issue. I thought perhaps the default Opt + Cmd +D to toggle Turn Dock Hiding On/Off would work. However, the iPad doesnt have Finder windows, and apps may have. Fix 4: Check for outdated third-party applicationsĪs mentioned earlier, if an outdated third-party app running in the background and shows up on your Dock, then your Dock is likely to be unresponsive or freezing. Apple hasnt commented on whether there will be anything similar when Universal Control lets you move between Mac and iPad screens. If the Dock keeps unresponsive, still, go ahead to try the below solutions. If the Dock Magnification is the problem, then the issue should be fixed now. Uncheck the option named Magnification. From the System Preferences window, select Dock.Move between other apps in full screen: Swipe left or right on the trackpad with three or four fingers, depending on how you set your trackpad settings. Click on the Apple menu at the top-left corner of the screen and select System Preferences. Show or hide the Dock: Move the pointer to or away from the Dock’s location.I don't want the requisite reply's explaining how to go to system preferences and move my dock to a different monitor, as I know how to do that. Either because one monitor activates/deactivates and so the dock transports itself to what it perceives as the only remaining screen. Thanks, hopefully, I explained the feature correctly. 7 There are 2 ways to accidentally move the dock to the other desktop. So my question, Was this feature removed from the OS? I know there has been at least one OS update in the last month or so to my machine. Ironically, I no longer find information on the 'mysteriously disappeared feature' Googling only results in people asking how to move the dock from one display to the other. Now I can only permanently move the dock to one display or the other via system preferences. Since you can't get the dock to show on both monitors at one time, the feature is (was?) if the dock is on display 1, move the mouse to the bottom of display 2 (where the dock is not shown), and 'Poof' like magic, the dock appears on display 2 (and subsequently, disappears from display 1)Īt some point, in the last month or so ?, I noticed that this feature no longer worked. Here is the screenshot of my multiple display arrangement in Settings > Displays > Arrangement: 'Displays have separate spaces' is checked in Settings > Mission Control. The bottom display is my Macs built in display, and the top display is an external monitor. Did apple remove the feature to move dock to another display by moving mouse to bottom of screen? Did apple remove the feature to move dock to another display by moving mouse to bottom of screen?Ī few months ago, I was flummoxed by my dock mysteriously moving from my macpro (M1) display to the connected external monitor (unimpressive brand) and then back to macpro display unbeknown to me.Īfter googling I found that this was indeed a MAC OS feature. Select the Mission Control icon in the Dock, or choose the Apple menu > System Preferences > Mission Control. 14 I have two displays, stacked vertically.

This characteristic of edible skin is one of my favorite parts of delicata squash too. If you do have a buttercup with nodules on it, just slice them off before cooking though and you should be fine. The ones with the lighter green top and nodules on the outside aren’t as conducive to eating the skin. I do find it easier to do with a squash that is all green and without the “nodes” on the exterior. Yes! One of the best parts of this squash is its edible skin, a characteristic it does not share with butternut. IS IT OK TO EAT THE SKIN OF BUTTERCUP SQUASH? If you can’t find buttercup squash, feel free to make this soup with butternut. Since the two taste very similar, they are good substitutes for each other in recipes. Two favorites that come to mind are these garlicky butternut squash noodles and this butternut squash dip with goat cheese. I’ve made some fun recipes with butternut squash over the last decade. Butternut squash flesh is bright orange in color and also sweet in taste.Īppearance wise, however, these two winter squash look nothing alike.īutternut is oblong in shape with a bulbous end and a pale yellow/beige skin whereas buttercup is round in shape with a dark green exterior and sometimes lighter green dome on the top. Since the names are so similar, this is a question often asked.īuttercup squash has a lighter yellow flesh with a delicate sweet flavor. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUTTERCUP AND BUTTERNUT SQUASH? So pay attention to the labels at the market to know what in fact you’re buying. You can see that version in this buttercup squash story. Other times though, it might look almost identical to kabocha and not have the lighter green dome at all. It’s very similar to turban squash in this regard although those are usually orange and yellow in color more so than green. Oftentimes it will look like what you see here – a kabocha like squash with a lighter green dome and some bumps or “wart-like” looking nodes on the exterior. APPEARANCEīuttercup can be a little tricky in looks. Smoother and less dry than kabocha squash with a sweetness not unlike honeynut squash. It’s a wonderfully sweet mellow taste with an incredible smooth texture. The taste and texture of buttercup is really what sets it apart for me. If you aren’t able to find it at your local market, try a farm stand or farmer’s market in the fall. I explained in detail all the characteristics of buttercup squash in this roasted buttercup squash recipe last year.īut to recap, buttercup is in the kabocha squash family and is becoming more and more accessible at normal grocery stores. While I stand by roasting as the easiest and probably most popular way to enjoy the squash (or air frying because you can’t beat this air fried butternut squash), using buttercup to make a soup perfectly highlights all the best qualities of the squash. That’s where this creamy delicious Thai inspired soup comes into play. I really got into buttercup squash last year but this year, I wanted to expand on its presence on this site. Not to mention, they’re typically bred to a much easier to handle size and many of them even have edible skin.Ĭan I get an amen for that?! I don’t know about you but cutting a spaghetti squash feels jeopardizing to my fingers every single time. Today’s popular winter squash varieties and hybrids just taste so much better than the OGs. I can’t say I always agree with the “change is good” mantra but when it comes to winter squash, I do think it applies. And more recently, honeynut, koginut and buttercup. My favorite recipe from that time period is probably these spaghetti squash latkes.Īs the years went on though, fun new varieties like kabocha and delicata started creeping into recipes. Ten years ago, I was exclusively cooking with the usual suspects like acorn, spaghetti and butternut. My journey with winter squash is kind of fun to look at if you filter through the archives of this site. A fantastic way to enjoy this lesser-known winter squash and its wonderfully sweet taste. Mellow Thai flavors of coconut and lime permeate this creamy buttercup squash soup.

Sunbelt conference news8/22/2023 "We do compete with the University of Missouri and the University of Arkansas and Kansas and all sorts of sports and almost all of the games are competitive. "Our facilities are as good as anybody's, our coaches are as good as anybody's and we could certainly compete at that level. "If you picked any of the other five conferences, other than football where we'd have to ramp up in terms of facilities and staffing and a variety of other things, we'd be competitive in soccer, baseball, traditionally in volleyball and women's basketball," Smart said. He already believes the Bears could compete on the field in most sports. Outside of football, Smart believes MSU's facilities, with Great Southern Bank Arena, Hammons Field and others, are as good as anyone's and could easily jump to another league. Compared to the renovations to stadiums and what other institutions have in Group of 5 conferences, the Bears would appear to be in need of major upgrades to compete. Plaster Stadium has undergone several major renovations since it first opened in 1941. It also paid for the construction of the student-section side of Plaster Stadium. Fee in 2013 which led to a $50 per semester student fee that built and renovated multiple facilities including the school's soccer stadium. Missouri State football hasn't had a major facility upgrade since students voted to pass the B.E.A.R. We've got to find the money to be able to do it." I know (football head coach) Ryan Beard and other folks really want it and I really want it too. "We've got some people that want to help but we just need to get to 23. We've just got to find some heavy hitters and people who want to help out. We desperately need it for football and it would free up some other things that would help other schools too with the weight room, training room and that kind of stuff. "We've just got to find the money to do it. "We're still plugging away at it," Moats said. Moats recently said the four-story building would cost around $23 million. It was then estimated to cost around $20 million and the school hoped it would be able to pay for it using private funds from donations. The potential facility included locker rooms for football, a club, team meeting rooms and coaches offices. Moats, MSU's athletics director, first teased the university's hopes of building a football facility in the south endzone of Plaster Stadium in 2021 when the school was in the middle of its second season under then-head coach Bobby Petrino. "I think we need to figure out a way to fund that endzone project," Smart said. Smart said the biggest thing Missouri State needs to do if it wants to make the move in the near future, is improve its football facilities. Missouri State spends more than $5 million less in institutional subsidies than the average Conference USA school and about $6.4 million less than the average Sun Belt institution. In the fiscal year 2022, Missouri State was nearly even with the average donor contributions with the current schools in Conference USA and about $500,000 ahead of the average Sun Belt school. While expenses would go up, revenue would also increase with larger guarantee payments for different athletics competitions, conference television and streaming deals, and bowl revenue. It just hasn't been the right fit yet or the right time."īased on current expenses, which would increase with a move to a new conference because of additional scholarships being handed out and travel among other reasons, Missouri State would be on par with some of the top spenders in the next iteration of Conference USA and nearly $8 million below the Sun Belt median. "(MSU Athletics Director Kyle Moats) is always evaluating and engaging in those conversations. "What are the financial requirements and what are the revenue changes that would offset some of that?" Smart said. The school would also have to look at the different on-field rivalries they can have in addition to having travel partners to ease the financial requirements. Those factors would include the regional aspect and the impact travel would have on student-athletes and their academics. MSU has been a part of the Valley since 1990. "But it's gotta be the right move at the right time and that's just what we're trying to figure out."Ī few factors, according to Smart, have to be taken into account before making the leap and leaving the Missouri Valley Conference - which he still believes is a strong men's basketball league especially following the additions of Murray State and Belmont. "There's not a question in my mind that, at some point, Missouri State will be playing FBS football," Smart said.

Boy and girl models8/22/2023 We focused on gender role attitudes because of the extensive changes in gender ideologies within the US in recent decades ( Fortin, 2005). Using interview data on US families, we aimed: (1) to identify distinct family patterns of gender role attitudes of mothers, fathers, and two adolescent siblings using cluster analysis (2) to explore the conditions under which different family patterns emerged, including family socioeconomic status (SES), parents' time spent on gendered household tasks, parents' time spent with children, and the sex constellation of sibling dyads and (3) to assess the implications of family patterns of gender role attitudes for conflict between family members. The present study was intended to fill a gap in the literature on gender role attitudes and family dynamics. As proposed within a family systems perspective, families are composed of subsystems that are interrelated ( Cox & Paley, 1997 Minuchin, 1985) and, as such, understanding of one subsystem in the family is incomplete if the processes that operate in other subsystems are not considered. This approach is likely to limit our understanding of the way in which family members' gender characteristics are connected. Although the importance of gender role attitudes in family dynamics has been of interest to researchers for several decades (e.g., Benin & Agostinelli, 1988 Ruble, Martin, & Berenbaum, 2006 Thompson & Walker, 1989), the gender role attitudes of family members-mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers-are typically studied in adults and children separately, or within single (i.e., marital or parent-child) dyads.

Thred up athleta8/22/2023 Globally, customers lose USD 460 billion of value in the clothes they throw away. Low utilisation rates for clothes not only impacts the environment, but also the economy. The result is that huge volumes of clothes are landfilled or incinerated each year, not only losing the material, but also the energy, water, nutrients, land and many other resources used to produce textiles and garments. In the US, clothes are only worn for around a quarter of the global average and some garments are only worn between seven and ten times. At the same time, our New Textiles economy report showed, the number of times an item is worn (the ‘utilisation rate’) decreased by almost 40%. Resale’s projected growth is driven by more sellers putting great products into the market.īetween 20, the number of items of clothing sold each year more than doubled to about 100 billion units. The resale market, currently worth about USD9 billion is projected to increase to more than USD 47 billion by 2025. Magnavox odyssey specs8/22/2023 Prior to that point, it had enjoyed strong success in Europe and Brazil, moderate success in North America, and barely registered as a blip in the Japanese market after its 1982 release in that region. The G7000 was discontinued in 1984 following the “video game crash” of 1983, during which very few new games were released. Only two companies produced third-party games for the platform: Imagic released Demon Attack and Atlantis, while Parker released Popeye, Frogger, Q*Bert and Super Cobra. The games released for the system primarily originated from Philips and Magnavox themselves, and formed a numbered library of over 50 games (including G7400-exclusive releases). There was also an optional speech synthesis module known as The Voice available, but only a few games supported it and it was not required to play them. These latter sprite-like objects could be drawn from the 64 built-in characters in the BIOS ROM, so many games made use of the same “man”, “tree” or “ship” icons in this character set to avoid having to spend precious memory on unique graphics.Įach cartridge was typically 2, 4 or 8 KB in size, and a special “C7010” chess cartridge included an entire separate module with a second CPU. The system supported four 8×8 single-colour sprites and 12 8×8 single-colour characters that could be freely moved (but not overlapped) like sprites. It runs at a resolution of 160×200 with a 16-colour fixed palette, though sprites may only use up to 8 of these. The G7000 features an Intel 8048 CPU running at 1.79 MHz, 64 bytes of RAM, 128 bytes of audio/video RAM and a 1024-byte BIOS ROM. It had a few games specifically designed for it as well as G7000 reissues with G7400-exclusive high-resolution background graphics. This featured enhanced graphical capabilities and was fully backwards compatible with the G7000. A later variant, known as the G7200, featured a 9″ black-and-white monitor built in to the unit, and an official successor, known as the G7400 Videopac +, was released in 1983. Several other consoles from the era had “keypad” controllers available, but none offered a full computer-like keyboard in the same way as the G7000.Įarly models featured two removable single-button joysticks later editions featured two hardwired joysticks. The G7000 distinguished itself from its rivals by its full alphanumeric membrane keyboard, intended for use with educational games, selecting game variants or simple computer programming. In contrast to the original Odyssey’s built-in games, switched between using removable circuit cards, the G7000 had discrete cartridges that could contain their own graphics, mechanics and sound effects, much like its contemporaries. It was first released in Europe in 1978 as a successor to the Magnavox Odyssey, the first commercial home video games console. The Philips G7000 Videopac Computer (“G7000” hereafter), known as the Magnavox Odyssey 2 in the United States, was a second-generation computer/console hybrid, and a contemporary of the Atari 2600, Fairchild Channel F and Intellivision platforms.
